So, I have been investigating the possibilities of making a side income through Amazon KDP Publishing.

After all, it has been said, that we all have a book inside of us waiting to be published!

In my usual style, I have gone "all in" and really worked hard on this, learning everything I can.

And, I'm pretty amazed by the early results, to be honest!

In just my first 18 days, I have published 39 books, and have made 30 sales, as shown in the image above.

It took just three days to sell my first 4 books.

I have also discovered that you don't even have to sell your books to make money!

If you add them to the Kindle Unlimited library, you can earn through the number of pages that people read, even though they haven't bought the book, as shown below!

 I was wondering if it would be worth creating the training on how to do this, would anybody be interested?

This would be a free course, although it will take some time to put this together.

And, I will NOT be revealing the AI prompts that I have created that have enabled me to achieve these quick results!

It's up to you to make your own!

Don't forget, my course on Making Money with Medium with 100 Word Posts is available currently, although this is a paid course at $27, you can read more in the link below.

And there is a special offer to get this at half price if you have already purchased Partha's course!

39 books in 18 days 🤪 That's good going!

Funnily enough my wife has been on at me to try KDP so I'd definitely be interested in knowing what you know Diane!

Thanks for sharing Diane.

Of course a free course would be a great idea!

Can I ask how long each book was, on average? Also, would you say that you were able to tap into the built-in audience, or were all your sales a result of your marketing efforts?

@yusuf All the books are around 50 pages, no aggressive marketing, just a link to my Amazon author page on my Medium account.

But, as I had sales from Germany, Japan, France, I doubt they were from Medium.

Just to add, they are all fiction books!

@diane You're a great writer, I could always tell.

I see. I'm asking because I definitely see myself publishing eBooks some time soon, so I wanted to know if there's an inherent advantage in publishing to Amazon KDP as opposed to Gumroad or some other place.

@yusuf I suppose the advantages are - its the most trusted platform, its free to use, it has its own platform for the correct formatting, it suggests book covers if you don't make your own, it has a ranking system to promote your books and is easy to use!

On the downside, if your book is priced at less than $2.99, the royalties are only 35% of the sale price.

@diane "

I just want to say that because I have seen similar things many times. Even though Medium is from the USA, people all over the world read from it.
Too, there are many big important things in order things from Amazon.
For example, if I want things cheap, I order from the USA because the shipment is cheaper. If I need to get it quickly I order from the UK.

I read a lot from Kindle even so I am not much for that software. But because I can buy Kindle books from Amazon and put it on free Kindle from Amazon USA I normally buy Kindle from USA.
So for me, it is not strange to see people read books from these countries.

But maybe I am misunderstanding something.

Diane, great to hear of your success. Interesting to know about the kindle unlimited aspect. I'd be interested in the KDP course.

Thanks
