Hey everyone,

There's a post published on Linkedin recently by Samy Thuillier that carries the same title as above.

Now, I'm not going to say I agree with everything that Samy has said, in fact, I'm going to include a video below from one of my faves, Chris Tzitzis, whereby he goes through each of these 30 "Truths" in slightly more detail, and then let's you know whether he agrees or disagrees.

I have to say that Chris's interpretation is far closer to mine, although there are two points that I don't completely agree with him about either (once again, this should show that "SEO" doesn't have "one perfect way" of doing everything).

Prepare yourself for a shock (or if you've ever listened to anything I've said, you won't be shocked)

Here's Samy's "article" (it's basically an image - BUT, read the comments, ALWAYS read the comments, dude reminds of me!!! You will NEVER know how "controlled" I've been around all of you 😂😂😂 )

And here's Chris's Video, which goes over these in more detail:

Not surprised at all hahaha! Do you know 'niche site lady'? She is on Twitter and I get her newsletters, totally switched to Facebook (add arbritage or what's it called) ao socials, and she is still doing quite well and bought her million dollar house. BUT, it takes investment to get the investment back and extra. (point 9, oh boy did I notice)

BUT: still not sure if this is different in other languages, at the moment at the least, no one can answer that, not even on a Dutch SEO forum that Lily Ray recommended, so I am continuing as fast as I can with my Dutch , yes travel, site. (I wish I could effort a Dutch writer right now grrrrr)

Even Jay said in his last class "there's a time we all need to pivot" and I was there, shouting at my screen again: 'hey Jay: been doing this forever (pivoting to socials ), and NOW you come with this, goddamned! How about cheating your payers on the platform".

But, I didn't type that (neither do I type things back at Kyle either anymore, waist of energy), held back hahahahaha, djeezes I'm mad that I subscribed for a whole year again , waste of money lol! (didn't notice it was for a whole year again instead of monthly)

Also another thing I noticed: although I get most traffic from Pinterest nowadays, affiliate marketing doesn't work this way, but outbound clicks to articles with adds could. (people tended to buy more through affiliate links if they came straight from Google, but that's in my case, don't know for others)

Unless I could place affiliate links straight on my FB groups, that worked, but apparently Etsy is against that, just my luck grrr

So, do you still do manual outreach?

Number 26: yeah definitely be careful hahaha! 😉

Lizzy

@ohnoo_not_her 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Where do I start with ALL this? 🤣🤣🤣

Have I heard of Niche Site Lady?

No, apart from I've heard you mention her a few times to me recently, so will go and check her out.

Investment for SEO?

Yep, 100%, do you want to know what my monthly expenses are for my main two websites?

Approx. $10,000 - $12,000 PER MONTH (obviously, it's taken me a lot of years to build up to that level, but I realised that while "just writing quality content to rank in Google" worked really well for a number of years, being solely reliant on one form of traffic could wipe out your entire income overnight... and I've been there before).

If you're still believing that you can do SEO successfully WITHOUT spending a penny you're still living off 2008 SEO

Your "Wacky Affiliate" Statements 😂😂😂😂

Look, I really don't know what to say... I promised myself I wouldn't "slag the platform off", but I am finding it increasingly difficult 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (especialy when people here have asked me to go and check things written or said by "experts" recently, suffice to say, I'm appalled)

I will eventually ONE DAY write a REAL Wealthy Affiliate Review, with PROOF, facts and figures, etc.

Here's one for free:

The "best affiliate marketing platform in the world" has only ever seen approx. LESS THAN 40 people EVER qualify for Vegas (out of nearly 3,000,000 members during that time, whereby probably AT LEAST 30% of those members have promoted WA <--- this will denied by the owners, although it's always nice to see their friends in Vegas photos who AREN'T WA members, plus, quite clearly 10,000 people qualify for Vegas a year, but can't be bothered to go on a luxury, all-paid for trip to Vegas, which is why there's only the same 5-6 people in the photos EVERY YEAR!! If that's the "BEST", I'll stick with the WORST thanks very much!! 😂😂)

"I ranking on page 500 of Google after 7 years as a member, the training WORKS!!!" (go on, how many of hate me now??? 🤣🤣🤣)

(and don't get me started on "quality content" and "the best AI writer in the world" ACCORDING TO WHO??????????????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣)

Pinterest & Other Forms of Traffic?

YUP, 100%.

Realistically, the way to look at SEO in 2024 is to decide whether you prefer writing or creating videos (better, if you do both).

Pick FIVE Sources of Traffic from

  • Organic Search
  • YouTube
  • Facebook
  • Pinterest
  • TikTok
  • Instagram
  • Medium
  • Linkedin
  • Web 2.0 article syndication
  • PPC (including social media PPC)
  • Forum/Question & Answer Website Marketing

Hit THREE of them REALLY HARD and regularly publish/share to the other two.

Are you starting to see how building a business and a brand completely on your own WITHOUT spending any additional money is REALLY DIFFICULT?

What we have been doing for many years, and what is still being taught in some circles, is to solely concentrate on the first, organic traffic.

Google has said for years NOT to do this, and yet we all do, realistically you are ALL Blackhat Marketers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Well, you're doing what Google told you NOT to do (me included, lol)!!

If you think about it, most affiliate sites and most ad revenue sites are solely created to rank in Google and earn commissions on products that usually the author knows nothihg about.

THIS IS WHY AFFILAITE AND AD REVENUE SITES WERE THE WORST HIT SITES OVER THE LAST 10 MONTHS

It's not that "affiliate marketing is dead" or "informational sites are dead", it's simply that it's OBVIOUS what is going on here.

If you think about it, most businesses are created to MAKE SOMEONE'S LIFE EASIER, money comes second, that's where "passion" comes into this.

You can even look at Steve Jobs and the iPhone.

The idea wasn't to "make loads of money" (that was a by-product), the idea was to make people's lives easier by having a phone, a computer, and a music player ALL IN ONE.

That is the "secret" to any business, online or offline, ask yourself "how can I make people lives (in my niche) easier?"

Where is the PASSION people?

Where is the WANT to HELP OTHERS?

I could go one forever, but I won't, lol!!

==> wow, I assumed it was a lot, but this surprises me Smile Yeah, at the start of joining WA, I didn't realize this at all, but spending money in this online world, gets you more money, quicker ànd better, if you find the right writer/social media manager, etc..

==> all of this indeed. I use the AI writer from time to time, because it gives me nice ideas, but that's about it. Most of it I delete and write all over.

==> indeed, the three are Pinterest, Youtube and Facebook for me, but I'm sure if I got a manager, it would grow quicker or adds to my Fb page.

(as said in those 30 points, getting 'fake' clicks and likes to your socials seem to work.

YOU KNOW: I wish I knew this like from the start, I would have focussed so much more on these and I'm sure I would have had more consistent traffic, but yeah, 'write good quality content blalblablalbla hahaha'

When I read the truth, I couldn't help but notice schema mark up. I have heard of it, but never really knew how to do it😅

But nothing really surprised me too much, more than what other competitors do to try and "win" or outrank.

That was something that Jay talked about in a premium plus class once, I think it was the beginning of the year, but he was all over the place, switching too much from one thing to another and back, so I didn't understand a goddamn thing lol! When I said that, he was like 'it isn't me who is explaining it badly, it is too advanced for you yet". And he was writing that in ALL CAPS hahahaha. Shouldn't I have been more 'advanced' than in the 4 years I've been on the platform? hahahaha

Anyway, glad I didn't get it then, no waste of time lol!
