So, you may recall, I was investigating how to sell AI-generated clipart.

https://digitalmatrixcafe.com/community/ai-images/what-is-ai-clipart-and-can-you-sell-it/

I have finally set up my Etsy shop, link below.

https://fluffyavenue.etsy.com/

And why do I think it's potentially the most passive income option?

(And note, I didn't say the EASIEST income, lol)

Essentially, once you have added a listing to your shop, you don't have to do anything to that listing ever again, it just stays there forever!

No updating, no worrying about Google, you don't even need a specific niche, etc.

People go to Etsy with purchasing in mind, they are not there to read stuff, you don't need to prove you are an expert in anything.

(Ok, there are 2 things you might have to do, depending on your settings, but they take literally seconds.

First of all each listing costs $0.20 every 4 months.

No, that's not a typo - it works out at $0.60 per listing for an entire year!

The easiest thing is to set it for auto-renewal, but if you don't want to do that, simply renew it when due, you will get a reminder.

The second thing is that with digital products, you can only say you have 999 available!

Although, in reality, it's unlimited, if your numbers sold get close to that figure, you will just have to change it, and put it back to 999 again.

But other than that, you can simply leave your shop to do its own thing, Etsy handles everything.)

Now, you do have to realize that at the start, it's all about volume, because the prices are so low, the more listings you have, the more income you will potentially make.

Some digital product sellers have over 5000 listings and make a huge income!

Do be aware that Etsy takes approximately 10% in fees.

So, initially, you need to add a lot of listings, and then add to them, when you have time.

Now, you will have to come up with prompts, generate the images, add them to Etsy, and add appropriate tags.

But ChatGPT or other platforms are your best friends here, you are completely allowed to use AI.

If I start to see any success, I will consider adding some services you can purchase from me at very affordable prices, to save you time.

This will include bundles of unique prompts, bundles of ready-to-use images or even the option of setting your shop up for you, with some initial listings.

Happy to answer questions, I will give you an update in the future!

Very interesting Diane, thanks for that. Keep us posted!

Did any of you pop an item from my shop into your basket and then not buy it?

My analytics show a lot of visits from this forum.

I don't mind, I'm not expecting anybody to buy anything, I'm quite happy for you to have a play around and see how it works.

But, I do have a deal set up, that if anybody abandons their basket without purchasing, then they should get an email offering 10% off!

So, I just wondered if that was working, and you got the email.
