Does anyone else think that GA4 has a bug at the moment?

The last 3 days my stats on GA4 have gone down immensely, which I don't think is normal seeing my stats on the actual sources. Anyone else having this issue? It has an immens impact on my ads income 🙁
thanks!

Can you show what Pinterest is showing and what GA4 is showing?

Also, did your overall revenue go down for ad income, or just your session RPMs?

@andy It looks like Pinterest outbound clicks took a big dive, ugh. How disappointing again. (google seo as well, but thats just normal these days, so volatile)

Heu, sessions RPMS is stable and even up? I don't understand how that works lol

thanks

Was something that was ranking seasonally drop for you? That can be a common issue within Pinterest. Can't tell much more than that, since Pinterest is harder to see what's happening compared to traffic from Google.

Session RPMs (Revenue Per Mil [thousand]) should stay consistent, since that number isn't influenced on how much traffic you get - it's basically just telling you that for every 1000 people you get to your site, you should be making around ~$20 (according to the stats you showed). Those should naturally go up throughout the year, since (usually) most niches have a lower RPM in Q1 than in Q4, if that makes sense.

I don't think it is seasonal no, as I was surprised to see the big rise in January and first half of februari. The most quiet season of the year is usually in the summer time for me, when everyone is outside, not crafting much 🙂
I did seem to lose quite some AI images traffic though, maybe Diane is right to be questioning if Pinterest will lower AI images? It is indeed hard to get track of what Pinterest wants. Although I am still seeing just that: new AI images getting the most views and outbound clicks.

Thanks for the explanation on the RPMs, I think I get it now lol

How are you doing with Facebook these days? I am trying again for my travel site on Facebook, but it's so much work, UGH. (reeels are doing best, but they take some time to make). Next week there is new software comming out called Scripti, I think it will make it easier and more affordable for beginners to get to a certain level on FB. (because yeah, I'm a beginner again after my hack and it sucks lol)

@ohnoo_not_her I haven't looked into it, but I can't see how Pinterest would be telling people something is AI generated unless you tell Pinterest that - we're using AI in a lot of our pins now, and I personally haven't seen the tag on any of them.

Facebook is doing okay - we're experimenting with some things right now (in terms of seeing what works/doesn't work), but it's doing good, all things considered. Are you trying to grow a page or your group?

I actually need to create a forum post about a company that grows FB groups a very unique way. I'll do that here shortly and tag you on it.

@andy saw the video and interested in joining this method. I've honestly spent hardly time on my new FB page and a new group for my miniatures niche (17 members now in the new group lol, while I had 30k on my old one), I was so burned out from it when the hack happened, but with this method, I would go for it again to grow it more easily.

(still considering hiring someone to get my page back on miniatures though, just so sad that I can't have it anymore, it still excists) .

So, for my Africa travel site, I'm only trying to grow a page now, and will be adding ads soon, but if you think there's room for an African travel group as well to grow, I could consider creating a new one. (never had success with a former group for Africa travel, but to be honest, the buying and selling group of miniatures grew on itself back then, without too much effort from myself, besides posting my blogs and youtube videos)

There are some things I still need to figure out though for security, if I go all in again, I'm not sure if it is enough to have 2 step verification/connected to my Instagram accounts, if they could still easily have my personal account banned in this way : https://siliconangle.com/2023/05/28/facebook-users-lose-accounts-due-unknown-linked-spam-instagram-accounts/

So I need to be absolutely sure of it not happening again before I dive in, but that is probably something we should discuss in private Smile
( had several chats with chatGPT about this lol. Like creating a second personal account on another device/use other email adresses, other browsers, VPN, interesting stuff lol)

thanks for asking me!
