Hey Everyone,

Firstly, "I'm back" 100% now, lol.

I actually had to run my own business for the last couple of weeks, due to my sister-in-law being the person who mainly does this, but due to recent events, she took a couple of weeks off (I'm knackered, I didn't realise how hard she works, hahahahaha!!!)

Okay, prior to me "disappearing" last month I spoke of some of the services and tools that I offer, and one that many were interested in was the "cheap semrush accounts".

Basically, you could a month's access to semrush Guru, which usually costs $250 per month, for $36 for 28 days (so, a massive saving, obviously a but dodgy and "blackhat", but nothing that YOU personally can get into trouble with).

Plus, if you want me to be honest, as I know you ALL come from a "certain background" (platform), you finally get to see what a DECENT keyword tool can do (yep, I've now been saying for OVER 9 YEARS, QSR is a pile of horsecrap and is no longer relevant, if you're ranking using QSR it was down to PURE LUCK, based on OTHER factors and NOT the QSR itself... but hey, I get it, if you've created a tool you have to stand by it and tell everyone it's fantastic, even if that is misleading in 2024)

Now, before "unleashing" (I wrote that myself, hahaha!!) this completely to everyone I thought it best that I do a number of tutorials on how to to use the semrush for different things.

This includes basic keyword research, competitor keyword research, your website's existing profile keyword research, PARASITE SEO keyword research (YUP, I haven't forgotten you guys and gals, LOL), PLUS, backlink opportunities via your competitors, and backlink opportunities via broken links.

I think I'm actually going to put all these tutorials onto a new website, create a course here on the forum, add EVERYONE to the course (ALL FREE), and then link to the tutorials on my website (I just want to see what some UGC backlinks, and having the content in a variety of places will do, plus, I will also put social media icons on the website, and I want YOU ALL to share these tutorials to your social media accounts... let's see what happens).

Anyway, today I am writing the tutorial for the "Your Keyword Profile" keyword research, and for most of the tutorials I have been using Lizzy's website and her niche (lucky Lizzy).

So, the tutorial I'm writing covers using YOUR OWN WEBSITE to find 3 different types of keywords, best described as "low hanging fruit", "existing keywords", and "clustering opportunities".

Anyway, while doing the research on Lizzy's website I found something VERY INTERESTING.

I shall simply copy and paste the section I've just written below... but, basically, it looks like Lizzy MAY be "recovering" from the HCU, slowly but surely, I will keep an eye on this over coming months (and I'm sure Lizzy will too).

So, here's the section I've just written (I got excited, so I wanted to share, but as it's "our Lizzy", I'm sure she won't mind everyone knowing, lol)

Now, before I go any further, there’s something kinda relevant, but very interesting to notice here.

And that is that Lizzy’s website appears to have “recovered” somewhat from a previous Helpful Content Update.

The “recovery” started in August 2024, so the exact time that the August 2024 Core Update started, and it has improved even moreso in September 2024.

According to semrush stats in July 2024 Lizzy’s website was ranking for 1,171 keywords in the top 100 in Google.

But, of those keywords 1,062 were ranking in position 51-100 (so, absolutely NO Google traffic from these), and most of the rest of the “ranking keywords” were ranking in position 21-50 (so, once more, likely they weren’t producing any traffic).

In July 2024, according to semrush, Lizzy had NO keywords ranking in the top 10 of Google.

However, as of August 2024 (when the Core Update hit approx. 15th August), Lizzy was ranking for 3,928 keywords in the top 100, 11 of those keywords ranked position 1-3, and 129 of those keywords ranked position 4-10.

And then, now in September 2024, Lizzy has a total of 5,428 keywords ranking in positions 1-100, with 19 keywords ranking position 1-3 and 206 keywords.ranking position 4-10.

Fingers crossed, it’s looks like Lizzy is “back”, we’ll continue to monitor this in upcoming months and hopefully we’ll continue to see these improvements

Looking Good, Lizzy, well done, looks like all that "OFF-PAGE" (off website) work is starting to pay off (always great to get links from Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube), I TOLD YOU!!!!! (didn't believe me, did you? hahahahahahha!!!)

By the way, I haven't used 'Jaaxy' in ages, but just wrote about things that people want to know on socials and even noticed ads on Facebook and what that brand was all about (lots of different keywords for 'Anavrin' now show up in GSC, I would have never found that in 'Jaaxy', ever.

The best news since I was reading from the party spoiler John Muller!
Great!

I'm really sorry. I saw that the party spoiler was reposting this today, and I'm not sure I understand it right. I think so, and even less if it was important.
So, for the benefit of the doubt, I copy/paste it. Sorry to send an indirect post like this!
"Reminder: Popular all-in-one SEO tools tend to include a feature called "Site Audit". This often allows a user to export a list of issues that the tool has uncovered.

A PDF export from an SEO tool is not an SEO audit.

The sections of these tools that are called "Site Audit" are not really an SEO audit either.

The output from these tools can give clarity to the person managing your SEO about the overall state of your site's technical SEO, and any issues that may be in play, but there needs to be a person involved in the process. A (good) SEO audit requires a human brain to have applied critical thinking skills and logic, to have synthesised information, and to provide a list of priorities that are most likely to have the biggest impact on your SEO performance."

Exactly, there's more to it than just using the tool. Reason why so many SEO's out there after the updates are called scammers, they just have their team using those tools and then charge thousands of dollars for just doing that. I see so many complaints about this on Twitter. Those SEO's are just making money by 'using the right tools", while they never made any money themselves with their own niche sites. Just like on WA actually. (besides Vitaly, I have never seen anyone of the teachers on there talk about their income with their niche sites, besides a lucky shot here and there , YEARS ago. And one guy still gathering income with one Youtube video leading towards WA)

@ohnoo_not_her 😂😂😂😂

Let me get the first few tutorials published and then I'll be happy to answer all those questions, LOL.

Well, I wouldn't say "doing it on my own", as it was mainly dealing with VAs, writers, and various freelancers (I haven't done anything on my own for my largest sites for over 4 years now, LOL)...

Although, I didn't know half of "my team", never spoken to them before, but had quite a funny moment when I made a bit of a cock-up, and one of our VAs said to me, "Don't worry, I keep it secret, I won't tell Boss Lady, Laura"

😂😂😂😂😂

I didn't have the heart to tell him I'M the BOSS!!! LOL!!!

Funnily enough, one of my tutorials is about using "parasite" platforms and social media platforms to find great keywords.

With semrush, you can put the domain name as one of the major websites, e.g. Medium, Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, Linkedin, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.

Then, you have a section where you can place a "broad keyword", e.g. "Weight Loss"

Then you have a section where you want to find all kewyords, hmmm say, ranking position 1-10.

And finally, you have a section where you can also change the "keyword difficulty" to "very easy" or "easy".

So, in effect, you could do the above for Reddit and have 1,000 "very easy" keywords in your niche in about 10 minutes,

Again, the above is covered in one of the tutorials.

@noteboom Yep, 100% agree.

I have ALWAYS said to use tools as a guide, but nothing beats human interaction.

In fact, for something like an SEO audit via semrush or ahrefs, it takes about 5 minutes to do, looks really professional in a PDF file, so people are willing to pay lots of money, but, it mainly DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE... hahahahaha!!

In fact, you'll often see things via semrush or ahrefs on an SEO sudit that say things like "errors" and "critical errors", and they will be 100s and 100s.

But, if someone knows what they're doing, once they investigate it's easy to see that these "errors" MAKE NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER.

It's very similar to when Google Search Console tells you that have 100s of unindexed articles, but when you investigate you see that the urls all end in (feed), (author), (tag), etc.

So, these AREN'T IMPORTANT.

Personally, I still use tools like semrush and ahrefs to START an audit or website review, BUT then I do EVERYTHING MANUALLY MYSELF.

In fact, you can check with a few people here who have had a website review from me...

Typically, they get a DOC of about 6,000 - 10,000 words written BY ME based on WHAT I THINK (I never include the semrush and ahrefs reports because I know they will cause confusion).

Anyway, the above, and what I'm currently doing is about 12 types of KEYWORD RESEARCH and 3 types of BACKLINK RESEARCH (and I will also include how to write emails to these website owners to try to obtain these backlinks, etc.)

What about Abie though? Clearly absolutely nailing it

... not that I ever visit WA any more. Still have a chuckle at the rare WA email which manages to get past the spam filter, every now and then 🤣

@rohanm I genuinely miss WA, it made me angry and laugh hysterically in equal amounts!

The very last thing I saw was Kyle's announcement about getting to Vegas next year, lol.

Yep, you too can hang out with the regular 4 affiliates who will probably be the only ones there!

All sounds amazing Partha. Very much looking forward to stepping things up with SEMRush.

I'm ranking well on Reddit for many of my reviews with '[product name] review' as the target ... but the traffic is very low. On a couple of reviews I tried other keywords like 'what is the best' etc but the competition is too high.

It sounds like SEMRush is the missing piece of the puzzle!

@diane ha ha ha!

At least they won't have to fork out too much on expenses.

The only one I still appreciate over there, is Vitally. I answer his short vids sometimes, and a few days after that, he made a new short video, taking into account on what I said and making things clearer for people. At least he is trying and listens to others. He is also the only one at the moment who is thinking about other ways to make money than with your site only. 'Benjisdad', in premium plus, used to do that to, and loved him for it (facebook groups, flipping websites, etc..), but they chased him away, told me he couldn't give lessons anymore on the platform for some reason. AAAArgh

Abie is the biggest PRO SEO ever, she is an ambassador of the entire internet, didn't you know? hahahaha!

Well, she could get my stress level higher anyway, every time I got a confirmation email when I asked a question on WA, and she answered it lol. And she didn't stop, until I started to remove her 'answers' to my questions. Apparently she realized that I was now always going to do this lol
