But, when I get to a 1000 subs, I will finally have a clickable link to my website in my profile (or my youtube channel, don't know yet which one I'll choose), so that's another good backlink I would suppose
Another game changer that I just saw was a message on Twitter ( well, X these days), that TikTok is experimenting with the ability to add clickable links in the comments. For me, that would be a fantastic game-changer! Every time I am assembling a new mini dollhouse kit, I post short videos of the process, and if it will be allowed to place affiliate links, that would be amazing!
Well, let's wait and see! (yeah, I know, don't believe everything you see on the internet, but if even Google says to believe all you see , there's hope hahaha!)

I'm very new to TikTok, so would you mind telling me how long it took you? Also, I did a quick Google search and apparently you can have clickable links once you reach 1000 followers or if you have a business account.
@yusuf Hi - you need a genuine business/company, registered in your own country, to qualify for a business account, backed up with verifying documents.
So, for example, here in the UK, I would need to provide a certificate of incorporation of a private limited company or certificate of registration for Value Added Tax.
(Which I don't have, lol)
Simply having a website doesn't make you a business for TikTok purposes, unfortunately.

Well done! I hope this is not something I should do now (I am reading the course as fast as I can, but sometimes that means slow), but do you need to choose YouTube or TikTok? I thought it was separate, but even so, if there are connections, it changes something for me if you can not be on both. But maybe I am a complete misunderstanding! I am not on these 2 channels, but I will try to start a faceless challenge for myself on YouTube.
@noteboom On Youtube, you just need to be verified to have a clickable link, this means adding your ID number or having the program 'scanning your face', then you can already place a link to your website in your profile. There is also a community tab on Youtube that I use to place links.
I have 2 youtube channels, one for my miniatures, which I am monetizing with adds, the second just serves as a backlink(s) (Africa travel, I'm just not travelling a lot to Africa, so I don't have endless videos lol )
The thousands followers on Youtube is about starting to monetize youtube with adds. (so actually become a 'creator'. If you don't have a business, then on TikTok, you need 1000 followers indeed to have a clickable link. To be a creator on Tiktok (so to monetize that), I think you need 10k followers, as I see plenty videos where people beg to reach 10k followers, so they can monetize their as well.
