So before, I had a Reddit account reported because of placing an AI image ( that's how we think it went, right Partha?) and then short after, my account was banned.
Now, I have a VERY sensitive crowd of crafters when it comes to either 1. copyrighted pictures, even though I can use them on socials by Etsy and 2. They REALLY dislike AI images in my niche.
I had a lot of nice AI pictures on Pinterest with miniature shoes, because I am careful with real pictures of others, so I thought, well let's use AI more.
BUT, although Pinterest is usually very quiet with comments, now people were all over me, almost every day, like "that's AI", or "the project in your picture isn't explained in your article", etc etc.
It got me worried, to be honest, because what if those grumpy people there start to report me as well, as "deceiving" or something, I wouldn't be surprised (as they did on Reddit). And I SURELY DO NOT want to lose my Pinterest account, if that would happen, I would shut down my business, that would be the final drop.
Anyway, I was discussing this with my husband, and he was like: "when you read articles in newspapers, you sometimes get to see under the main picture a message like "picture is an example", but then in Dutch.
So what I will be doing from now on, is edit that message in each AI picture that I upload "picture is an example", or something like that. What do you think?
As I said, this might be totally irrelevant for your niche, but my crowd gets VERY GRUMPY over AI pictures, which is in their right of course, but then I'm like: what if I get reported too often, nah let's try to prevent that!
Also, I think I will just disable the comments for each AI picture that I use on Pinterest.
That's not the type of discussion that I want to see on there for my "brand"
What type of message would you use?
thanks
Lizzy
You could say something like, "Image created for illustrative purposes."
