Man, I missed reading Partha's long-a$$ posts haha.

Too bad I only saw this a year later!!

I'm not sure if Partha is checking the forum these days, but maybe Andy or others will see my question:

Does Parasite SEO still work in 2025?

Can I get access to those backlinks in the course, or do I need to reach out to Partha directly?

It's been frustrating to have inconsistent income since 2023, and would like to try new methods to turn things around besides just Pinterest.

(I have tried Linkedin publishing before but those articles are not ranking now like they used to in 2024.)

@zarina I think Partha was reselling them, so unless @RohanM knows of a place, I'm not aware of a way to get those backlinks. Rohan will also have to chime in as to how decent Parasite SEO is still working now.

Here is my general view on Parasite SEO (and everyone is welcome to take it with a grain of salt, lol): Don't waste your time on it.

Can you make some income from it? Sure. Can you make thousands of dollars? Definitely - however those who are actually making a financial living with it more than likely have a team with them to crank out the amount of posts that is needed to make that kind of money.

Rohan made a little over $5K in 1 year before Reddit shut him down. My guess is that if Reddit didn't shut him down he would have made $20-30K over the next year. But he lost most of his work because it was built on parasite principles.

I'm not knocking on what Rohan did - it shows that no matter what (whether you take parasite SEO or just general internet marketing seriously), little baby steps over a certain period of time is going to get you results. However, you just never know when your empire is going to come crashing down. It really feels like it's a gamble.

Now, here is an alternative - I started to build a homesteading/gardening site back at the beginning of the year. Since around April/May onwards, I've been earning ~$1K from ad revenue alone. We have close to 4K subscribers on our email list, and I'm in the process of applying to Mediavine, since we just hit the 50K session mark. Even if I lost all of my Pinterest traffic to that site, I'm still ranking fairly well on Bing, and have a partnership deal going on with a large Raised Bed gardening FB group. So I could still find ways to continue building out my site if I need to.

So the real question is - why not just continue working on your business and grow that?

I've been where you are - inconsistent income, trying everything under the sun and nothing working. But I finally found something (or then again, someone - my wife, lol) that worked, and we were able to pull that inconsistent income generating website into something that is now supporting myself and my family (which I'll share income stats from at a later point).

Once again, it's just my personal two cents on parasite SEO. I'd be interested to hear what Rohan says, since he's actually been successful in it.

Also, if you want, DM your site, any relevant info and issues, and I'd be happy to shoot a video anything I see that you could do to improve.

@andy Hey Andy, tyvm for your input!

I am actually planning to use Pinterest too. I tried to sell my photography-related website, but seems no one is going to buy it.

Honestly, I was so tired physically and mentally, that I just wanted to sell it all.

And on top of that, I kinda lost faith in building a strong business after losing 95%+ of traffic basically from early 2023 and struggling with consistent income.

Anyway, while this website was on a listing, I started updating it, made the theme a bit nicer etc, and actually remembered that in Pinterest photography is like the second biggest thing that I could take advantage of.

So I'll give that website a try through Pinterest.

Now...

I also have a financial niche asset and it's not great for Pinterest (with HUGE commission potential). So I wanted to give it a try with Parasite SEO and see how it goes.

Even if the subreddit gets shut down after making one huge sale, I'll be happy LOL. At least it'd give some boost and extra cash to invest into freelancers etc.

But then it would be a matter of how much I'm actually able to invest in backlinks considering my low income these days, bills etc.

Is Partha around? Haven't seen him commenting/posting anywhere since I got back here.

And thank you for the offer!

I'll likely do that in the near future, will need to gather my thoughts and choose which website to discuss with you hahaha (I have a few in different niches).

Edit:

Saw in some other post that Partha has been AWOL since last November? Hope he's ok man.

Now it makes sense why you referred to Rohan about the backlinks stuff, I assume it's not something that will be covered in the course?

@zarina Hey Zarina ... I'm pushed for time this morning but I will respond here later on today (UK time).

I will say at this point, Parasite SEO definitely still works; especially on Reddit but it should always be seen as a little side project to building your own business (as Andy is advising).

The fact that the whole thing can be 'here today, gone tomorrow' means it's always going to be a huge gamble.

The other way to look at it is the age old 'churn and burn' philosophy ... so you scale up content creation hugely and get 100's of thousands of pages published quickly with a view to making a quick buck before it all gets banned.

This is what I used to do back in the day (nearly 20 years ago now ... lol) but Google put a stop to it. Now with AI, the gloves are off again - Google cannot cope.

I've been working on some Google sheets / Python / Open AI API / Amazon AWS automations to realise this mass content creation outcome. I'll update here when I have some results.

Basically, Parasite SEO on steroids ... but we'll still need those backlinks.

Again, I have a plan for that and it may need a few of us to get involved. But I don't want to make too many promises as my time is very limited currently and I also have some personal stuff going on ... so please bear with me 🙂

Does Parasite SEO still work in 2025?

So, yes ... as I mentioned, Parasite SEO still works in 2025. Plenty of evidence in the SERPs to back that up. For example: https://www.google.com/search?q=mitothrive+reviews

For that product, page 1 of Google is essentially all parasite urls (interestingly, Reddit is nowhere to be seen). If you click through to page 2,3,4 and further, it's pretty much all Parasite SEO.

So yeah ... I think we can safely say that Parasite SEO still works and is likely to for years to come. It has worked for at least 15 years, probably more.

Back in the day when sites like Ezine Articles were the vehicle of choice it was not called parasite SEO but the concept was exactly the same. I vaguely remember a course entitled "Authority Piggyback" or something like that.

Partha has mentioned previously that he made a very nice income with SEO'd articles posted on article directories like EA back then and I believe it's what got him started on his full-time internet marketing career.

I mean, as long as you can find platforms that rank well in Google and there is a way to get your content published on there, Parasite SEO will be a thing.

Can I get access to those backlinks in the course, or do I need to reach out to Partha directly?

As Andy mentioned, I'm pretty sure Partha was reselling and he was thoroughly testing the links before making them available. Just before he went AWOL I was in the process of buying some backlinks from him. Partha was providing me with some very honest feedback on my Reddit reviews and I was about to bite the bullet when he vanished. So it wasn't meant to be.

It's a shame because I think that could have made all the difference with my reviews and possibly would have made me a very tidy income.

I have tried a couple of avenues for link building since then but never really got serious about it. Tried a couple of sellers on Fiverr (massive waste of time - scammers everywhere!) and I also tried a service called Insert Link which actually showed a lot more promise - at least there are real links on real websites for sale over there which you can check out before you buy.

Insert Link is well worth a look actually and I will be revisiting when the time comes. They offer link insertion and guest post options.

and look forward to hearing from you more (and that automation stuff)!

On the automation stuff, that Google search above is a prime example of what I've been investigating recently ... look at all the Amazon AWS pages indexed. They're everywhere!

This has been a very common feature of the Google SERPs over the last 9 months or so. Hundreds of thousands of AWS urls taking over the results!

For example, let's look at one of the AWS urls in that SERP ...

If you paste this into Google: site:watsoft.s3.amazonaws.com/ you should see nearly 14k indexed pages. And that's just one sub directory. I've seen many other similar set ups with over 100k pages indexed in Google.

With that kind of saturation you can't help but to make a serious amount of cash!

I've been messing around with trying to recreate this kind of saturation in a very manual way - ie actually writing the code to achieve mass re-writing functionality and publishing on Amazon AWS.

(well, more accurately, I'm using GPT to write and debug the code!)

Anyway, I'm at the point now where it's all ready to scale up for a round of testing.

But, there is a tool out there which is way more powerful and is what I think is being used to create this massive SERP saturation.

Stay tuned ... lol!

To wrap this up ... I'd say focus on your own domain first and try to diversify traffic sources as much as you can. Delve into Parasite SEO if you have the time to mess about with a side project.

The only reason I went all in on Parasite SEO is because it was all I had time for. I figured I could manage 1 post a day and if not then I should probably hang up my digital gloves for ever more.

It was good while it lasted and I will be back on it when things settle down a bit in IRL!

@rohanm Thank you vm for the detailed reply!

And examples of Amazon AWS, you mentioned it before and I didn't understand, and I think now I'm kinda getting the idea? (I feel I'll need more time though lol)

Now back to Parasite SEO, does the course cover beyond the just "write a review and post on Reddit"?

Especially since I won't have access to the backlinks, is there a point to go through with it? (Though knowing Partha's style, he likely was very extensive to share there lol)

P.S. Appreciate you sharing another tool for the backlinks!

@zarina The course covers:

  • Parasite theory and platforms
  • The pitfalls of Parasite SEO
  • The best products to promote with PSEO
  • Affiliate platforms
  • Keyword selection
  • How to write product reviews
  • Andy's 700+ word AI article writing prompt (pure gold)
  • Backlinks for PSEO

And quite a bit more supplemental info.

Many of my Reddit posts were ranking without any backlinks at all. I was literally just writing a review of every supplement product on Clickbank (because you can easily do that with AI) ... some of them ranked while the more competitive products were much more difficult to rank.

So I was employing the blunderbuss approach! Throw enough sh1t at the wall and some of it will stick ... lol. But in the back of my mind I always thought just one or two high ticket, competitive CB products ranked at the top of Google could easily turn into a full-time income.

That's where backlinks come in.

@rohanm Great input, thank you!

I'm promoting an insanely high ticket affiliate program (in the finance niche, for high net worth investors), so I certainly wanna try that "blunderbuss" approach hahaha

Like I mentioned somewhere in the forum before - even if my subreddit gets banned, I'd be fine if it'll get me a bunch of qualified leads and a juicy commission before that happens lol

In any case, you've convinced me! I'll get that course, after all, I'm a 'full stack' creator anyway hahah, in this industry good to know different things to do well enough

@rohanm Well after Andy's Pinterest posts, I've been going back and forth:

Medium/Linkedin/Reddit SEO (not necessarily with backlinks) for a high ticket finance program or Pinterest for a photography website (which should do well on Pinterest)

So now I'm torn 😭 lol

I wasted so much time and missed out on so many opportunities refusing to get on Parasite SEO and AI board, that now I just don't wanna 'make a mistake' of choosing the one that is the longer path

(And I'm not one of get rich quick mentality, I'm VERY patient and persistent and pretty much stuck with all my websites since 2017)

@zarina Hey Zarina,

It sounds like you have some procrastination going on. Don't stress ... take your time.

I think Andy's Pinterest route is a really solid option. You should have some stats coming back in after 30 days which will allow you to make some more decisions.

Parasite SEO is risky. It's more of a grey hat SEO approach. It's good fun because there are no rules really. The SERPS are like the Wild West ... lol.

... and actually, that can teach you a lot about how the SERP works! At least, at that point in time. PSEO is kind of reactive in that you focus on the platforms which are currently ranking the best in Google ... this changes all the time of course. Reddit is the one platform which has remained very consistent!

Focusing on more long term, 'real business' building (Like Andy's Pinterest stuff) would be my first route if I was doing this 8-10 hours a day. As I've mentioned before, I only did the PSEO / Reddit thing because it was relatively quick and I could work it around my day job and family commitments.

I also resisted AI for a long time as I thought it was all hype. But it's not. AI is a game-changer (as Chatty would say! 🙂 ) It's moving so fast and if you're not leveraging AI, you'll be left behind.

Happy to try to help you as much as poss on the AI stuff as well.

... and well done for sticking with your website after the 2023 Google HCU. A lot of people gave up when Google slapped them so hard.

One thing is for certain, if you give up you will definitely not make any money 🙂

@rohanm I can totally agree with everything you say, Rohan!

And don't get me wrong, I did lose motivation, MASSIVELY, and it was worsened bc I had multiple websites going and almost NOTHING worked.

I'm just thankful to myself that I started a YouTube channel back in 2020 and some videos were keeping me afloat during this time.

Plus the financial niche sales, suddenly had a few after 2 years, and that certainly helped LOL

But I'm tired of jumping around.

So now that my photography website is not being sold, I updated the theme and how it looks on mobile and stuff, I started doing Pinterest for it.

I was doing it manually though, without Pinclicks, but with this tool I might see the results sooner!

We'll see, might share the results at some point soon too Smile
