I'm just asking, because sometimes I see those blogspots ranking in my niche for certain keywords, so sometimes google prefers those above an actual paid domain.

thanks!

Yep it's a web 2.0 ... when you sign up at Blogger.com you'll get a blogspot.com subdomain.

Yes, they are, and as I've been saying for ages now, web 2.0s are ranking for a LOT OF KEYWORDS!!!

In fact, I recently checked on of my old website product reviews, and of the first 30 results, 19 are parasite SEO, and 14 of thos are articles created on free web 2.0 properties.

Below is a list of web 2.0s, their authority (DA), and whether they're "do follow" or "no follow" (not that bothered in 2024).

When it comes to ranking THESE web 2.0s in Google, it generally works better once you start getting more content on them (as I've previously said, treat them like a REAL website, add content regularly, share on their OWN social media accounts, have internal/external links, only link to your website sparingly).

If using them Purely for "foundational" backlink purposes, you can take the web 2.0s, add the 5-10 articles over a month or so, and only have ONE of those articles linking to your website from EACH of the web 2.0s... get backlinks to your web 2.0s (build social and forum profile bios yourself or pay me for some of the cheap backlink packages I have)

AND YES, I completely IGNORED the question about "what are web 2.0s" yesterday

Funnily enough, I've answered that question on about 15 different occasions now.

So,forum members can either continue asking the same questions over-and-over again, and EXPECT me to continue answering those same questions over-and-over again (surely, you could "use me" better than that!!!!)

OR

Wait for it... I know this is an unknown concept and a bit "out there", and probably a bit selfish and entitled of me...

USE THE SEARCH FUUNCTION ON THE FORUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@partha totally hahahaha, it just needs to enter my brain, a bit slower than the rest :-p Thanks for repeating yourself 🤣 🤣

But, (I'm seeing you thinking, here she goes again whahaha), as I don't see anything in my niche ranking on medium or wix, etc. But only on blogspot or Instructables once in a while, wouldn't it be better to really focus on those 2 that I see regularly? (if I really want to use my time well?)

Interesting that Instructables is a 2.0 as well though, I really thought that was a domain from someone that I could never 'beat'.
Cool, thanks!

@ohnoo_not_her Trust me, it's NOT you... although I do think it would be easier if I just started crying and had a mental breakdown!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

web 2.0s = free BLOGGING platforms

BLOGGING = write a blog post and publish it 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (this appears to be the "bit" that people are struggling with!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣)

Here's an example article on the site with lots of links - https://www.instructables.com/Build-a-3D-Printed-Arduino-RC-Drift-Car-With-Smoke/

Here's instructables instructions on how to add links to blog posts (but I'm gussing EVERYONE here knows how to add a hyperlink to text!!!!!!!!!!!!) - https://www.instructables.com/Add-Links-to-Your-Blog-Post/

With web 2.0s. some will allow for profile links, some won't, but THE MAIN USE OF WEB 2.0s is as a BLOGGING PLATFORM, i.e. write blog posts and link from your blog posts, as in the examples above!!!

There are TWO WAYS to use web 2.0 platforms.

1) Create a few, add a few articles over the course of  month, add ONE LINK from ONE ARTICLE on EACH of the web 2.0 properties to link to your WEBSITE. The rest of the articles should "NORMAL" internal and external links, external links going to other relevant website articles that AREN'T YOURS.

This is simple foundational backlink building.

2) Create actual REAL BLOGS from these web 2.0 platforms, e.g. add 3-5 articles a week, on an on-going basis, PRETEND it's YOUR REAL website, so look to get 100, 200, 500, 1,000, however many you want, articles published on those web 2.0 bblogging platforms.

This means that you have a LOT OF CONTENT on HIGH DOMAIN AUTHORITY USER-GENERATED CONTENT PLATFORMS.

Eventually, as you've ALL seen, these web 2.0s start ranking in the SERPs, this makes them more authoratitive, which means any links going to your MAIN WEBSITE are ALSO more authoratitive.

So, option 1, you're just looking for LOTS of VARIETY of backlinks

Option 2, you're looking for just a few backlinks, but you're trying to make these backlinks MORE AUTHORATITIVE.

This is all I am EVER saying about web 2.0 backlinks EVER AGAIN... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

UNLESS

I'm putting up all our services today, and one of the ones I offer is "ONE DAY COACHING" where you can ask me to teach you ONE THING, e.g. "teach me web 20 backlinks in full", and I will spend 2-4 hours (pr longer, if required) with you UNTIL YOU GET IT (this is aimed at EVERYONE 🤣)

@partha I see, I feel stupid now hahahaha. I was just searching for instructable posts in my own niche only, and I didn't see anyone linking anything, of course I can link in the actual post 😆 🙄 😳
Djees, I understand you losing your patience ahahahahahahaa

@parth--

The funny thing is, I did look first before asking. However,  unless you were in the thread,  and knew where there was a definition or two, there is nowhere in the topics that directly relates to rhe web 2.0.

I did nor spend the time to go thru every thread topic....

Are those links you provided with the 2.0 addition?

How bout you add a sticky for those asked for items....grin.

The you won't have to be bothered with another asked question...😎

Well, forget about Instructables, as you can't hyperlink anything on your profile , and google or Youtube isn't helping either 🙁
